Introduction to the Q&A Section

Delegates are invited to participate in this Model United Nations Conference!

In order to help you better understand the relevant arrangements and frequently asked questions, we have set up a special "Delegates' Frequently Asked Questions Q&A" section, which covers a variety of aspects such as pre-meeting preparations, process mechanisms, document submission, meeting arrangements, and so on.

In this platform, you can also use the MUN AI assistant specially deployed by the conference to ask questions and consult. The AI Assistant provides delegates with quick and concise answers based on the Conference materials and the Model United Nations General Rules.

⚠️ Please note that the information provided by AI Assistant is for reference only and does not represent the final interpretation of the organizers and the Organizing Committee.

If you have a specific, urgent or rule-determination-related question, please be sure to contact the conference team or the Bureau for an authoritative answer.

We wish you a successful and rewarding conference!

—— Organizational Committee of the General Assembly

Welcome to GIMUNC! You need to get ahead:

  • Read meeting announcements, topic briefs, and background guides;
  • Prepare a national position paper;
  • Familiarize yourself with ground rules and meeting processes (e.g., motions, voting, document submission);
  • You can refer to previous modeling sessions or ask your experienced peers.

Yes, submitting a position paper is a basic requirement. Formatting requirements and submission methods will be written in the background paper or notification, and it is recommended that compliant documents be submitted by the deadline, otherwise award eligibility may be jeopardized.

"Sure. 'Motion' is a formal proposal by a delegate for the flow of the meeting, such as changing the topic or going into recess; 'Agenda Setting' is deciding which topic to prioritize for this meeting. These terms are the basic processes of the Model League, as detailed in the Delegate Handbook

You can start with the following:

  • Check the United Nations official web site for the country's statement or policy position;
  • Read relevant news or diplomatic instruments from recent years;
  • Use the Simplified Modeling Resources; We also encourage you to look up keywords in English such as "[Country] + stance on [topic]".

The language of the meetings of the English Committee will be English, and we understand that some delegates may be attending for the first time in full English.It is advisable to prepare common speech templates and terminology cards in advance, and to express yourself boldly; clarity of expression is more important than grammatical perfection.

GIMUNC has zero tolerance for any form of academic misconduct .This includes, but is not limited to: irregular citation, document originality below 80%,, excessive AI rate, plagiarism of others' position papers or conference papers. If the above behaviors are verified, the Secretariat reserves the right to disqualify the delegate concerned from the conference and revoke his/her delegation's eligibility for the award.

The Secretariat of the Congress reserves the right to determine and ultimately interpret academic misconduct.

Uncomplicated! We will provide a rules presentation and simulation exercise prior to the meeting, including motion use, speaking process, document submission, etc.

It is recommended to read the Delegate Handbook in advance or join us for a training event.

It's a common problem, and that's okay.Modeling is not about who knows the most, it's about who can express and collaborate the best.You can:

  • Focus on the position points relevant to your own country;
  • Present constructive programs rather than generalizations;
  • Logic is more important in expressing complex content in simple language.

Please refer to the Logistics section of the Notice of Meeting:

If you are an out-of-town delegate or an academic team we will recommend a hotel for you, but at your own expense.Tea breaks and drinking water will be provided during the conference, so we suggest you bring your own stationery, folders and cups.

A number of awards will be given, such as Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, Honorable Mention, and so on. Criteria for awards are generally based on presentation, cooperation, quality of the text and overall diplomatic skills. Stay tuned for the rules of the awards, which will be published in the future.

In case of special circumstances, please contact the conference team in advance to explain the situation.Late arrival may affect speaking arrangements or eligibility for awards, and it is recommended that travel arrangements be made in advance.
