In 2007, the inaugural Gansu International Model United Nations Conference was held, marking the beginning of the province's model UN journey. After sixteen years of dedicated cultivation, GIMUNC now stands as both a successor and a pioneer of the new era, embracing a dual mission of "heritage and innovation." Building upon respect for tradition, it refines its rules with an international perspective, strengthens its foundation through academic rigor, and enhances the experience with service excellence. It continues to forge a meaningful regional brand for student educational activities.
The Gansu International Model United Nations Conference (GIMUNC) draws from the region's rich tradition of Model United Nations activities. Since its full relaunch in 2024, GIMUNC has adopted a new organizational framework and operational mechanisms, dedicated to establishing the most influential and internationally distinctive youth diplomatic exchange platform in Western China. In 2026, the conference will undergo a new round of upgrades. Building upon its founding principles of "academic excellence and functional integration," GIMUNC 2026 will further refine its agenda design, optimize conference procedures, expand international collaborations, and empower academic innovation through technology. Pioneering the integration of AI assistants into the Model United Nations field, GIMUN will launch its MUN AI Assistant. This tool will deliver comprehensive, intelligent service experiences for delegates, academic teams, and the public, continuing to provide young scholars and future diplomats with a thought-provoking stage that combines depth, warmth, and breadth.
Our Mission: To elevate global awareness and inspire young people to engage in rational thinking and foster a sense of responsibility toward international affairs and public issues. To uphold the spirit of the Model United Nations, promoting the standardization, professionalization, and sustainable development of conferences. To build an exchange platform centered on inclusivity, cooperation, and action, where ideas meet through dialogue.
History and Vision Since the inaugural Gansu Model United Nations Conference in 2007, GIMUNC has journeyed through nearly two decades. Today, GIMUNC continues to write history with renewed vigor, connecting the world, inspiring youth, and shaping the future under the guiding spirit of the United Nations.

Announcement Regarding GIMUN MUN AI Assistant v2.1.0

To ensure a better user experience, the GIMUN MUN AI Assistant has recently completed its phased maintenance and is now back online, entering a testing phase. Starting today, all AI Assistant fuAI Assistant functions will gradually resume normal operations.
What have we updated?
- 响应速度显著提升：本次更新在保持国内 最先进模型 的基础上，优化了前后端交互逻辑，使回复生成速度明显提升，平均响应时间缩短约 40%。无论是学术问答、会务咨询还是文件用词修改建议，回复都更加即时顺畅。
- Enhanced system stability and compatibility: To address loading delays on certain devices and network environments, we have optimized our caching and server architecture, significantly enhancing system stability and multi-device compatibility. Even during high-traffic periods, we maintain a stable and smooth user experience.
- Dialogue Logic and Intelligent Understanding Optimization: Building upon the DeepSeek V3 model, we have enhanced context recognition and multi-turn dialogue logic, enabling the AI to respond more naturally and accurately to MUN academic inquiries, conference consultations, and personalized requests.
- Comprehensive System Optimization: We have performed extensive tuning on interface interactions, information retrieval, and backend model synchronization mechanisms, laying the technical foundation for upcoming new features.
- Interface and Animation Optimization: The interface and animations have been completely revamped with detailed refinements, delivering a smoother, more immersive interaction experience. The new floating bubble design in the bottom-right corner allows one-tap expansion and collapse with smoother animations. It supports full-screen immersive chat sessions, featuring new quick-response templates and input suggestions for more intuitive communication.
Thank you for your understanding and support during the maintenance period. We will continue striving to provide every delegate, chairperson, and volunteer with a more stable, intelligent, and user-friendly MUN AI assistant experience. The MUN AI assistant developed and deployed by GIMUN remains free to use. All delegates, chairpersons, and volunteers can access it directly without registration or payment.
